Found Filmstrip

Christmas Day 2005. Cleaning up my room. Dusting off the shelves. Looking into containers that usually sit ignored. Found this little gem, 27 frames of black and white 16mm reversal film. The strip is from a short movie I was working on in 1991 when a student at the Museum School. This is from a scene where I’m cooking myself a vegetarian TV dinner. I cut open the box excitedly to view the delicious meal inside. As the cardboard top of the dinner opens up, we cut to this fisheeye shot taken from the “inside” of the TV dinner with my delighted reaction. The dark wedge in the upper right hand corner of the frame is the inside of the cardboard flap. I am so excited.

UPDATE: I created an animated GIF from each frame of this scan.
